Reading before the lecture October 26th
- VPN/IPSec:
Read page 1-7 (up to "Protocol Negotiation and Key Management") in
the technical paper "Understanding the IPSec Protocol Suite".
- SSL/TLS:
Read Chapter 6 and 7 in "RFC 2246 -- The -- TLS
Protocol." You may want to look at An
Introduction to SSL before you dive into the details in the previous
document.
- SET:
Skim Section 7.3 in "Network Security Essentials -- Applications and
Standard" by W. Stallings.
- PGP: Skim pages 16-36 in Chapter 1
of the document Introduction to
Cryptography in the PGP 6.5.1 documentation. Copyright (c)
