Getting a job
Many Danish students have a part-time job while they are studying. This enables them to have an extra income to spend in their leisure time.
Work permit and jobs
As a student from outside the EU/EEA you can apply for a work permit as part of their residence permit, which allows you to work for up to 15 hours a week during the semester, and full time during the summer holiday, i.e. June, July and August.
Some international students manage to find work in bars or restaurants or distributing newspapers. However, you should not base your finances on the chance of obtaining paid employment - neither full-time nor part-time.
As a service the IT-University has a job bank where companies look for qualified students. Often you will be able to find part-time work within your study interests.
