Instructions for Presentations

Oral Presentations

Oral presentations will be limited to 20 minutes including discussion time. For your presentations, you can prepare transparencies, PowerPoint slides and standard dias slides. Overhead projector, computer data projector, standard dias slide projector and a PC with Microsoft PowerPoint 2000 is available. If you would like to use the PC, please put your presentation either on a 3.25” floppy or a CD-rom. You are also welcome to bring your own laptop for the presentation. There will be a preview room with 2 PC’s at the conference site in which you can check and make last minute corrections to your presentation. In case you will be using the standard dias slide projector for your presentation, please contact the registration desk well in advance. If you have any special requests, please contact the conference secretariat.

Poster Presentations

Posters are presented in groups of at most 50 presentations during 4 poster sessions each lasting approximately 1½ hour. Boards, 192 cm x 120 cm (width x height), are available – each presenter is allocated one board. On the day of the presentation, preferably before the first session or during the first break, each poster should be hanged on the board having the same number as the one assigned to the poster in the Scientific Programme. Velcro, tacks, adhesive tape and other items to mount your presentation will be available for use in the atrium. Posters have to be removed by the end of the day. You are welcome to bring your own laptop for additional presentations, but please be aware that you will not have access to power supply and that space is limited.
