· 3rd International Conference on Design and Emotion, 1-3 July 2002, Loughborough, UK
Emotion and Experience can be regarded as the buzzwords of current design practice,
research, and education. It is no longer sufficient to design good products or services; we
all want to design experiences and generate pleasurable or exciting sensations. But what
do we really know about these experiences and a products' ability to evoke emotions?
Can affective interactions be designed and how do designers and industries deal with
this new design paradigm? These and many other questions concerning the relationship
between product design and human experience will be addressed and discussed at the
3rd conference on Design and Emotion.
